Nothing that has effected the driveability of the car to my knowledge. since the car was pushed up over the kerb and on to the roundabout it could have knocked the tracking a little. I dont know how much it will be to repair but the car is only worth about 600 and the insurance policy on this car has an excess of 350 cause it was the named driver who was driving and not my wife. About 2 weeks ago I slipped off an icy road, drove my van into the woods on state land. There was no property damage, this is a very rural area (as in no homes within 5 miles at least). i want to go ahead with a car insurance company and i got a yearly quote online with them,as i want to pay direct debit monthly i phoned up to see what the monthly amount was with interest charged. i just want to check that this is accurate. the yearly amount quoted was 353.95 making it 29.50 per month . they charge 8.5% interest on any direct debit or credit card payment adding the 8/5% interest they then caluclated my monthly amount to be 34.81 yet it thought that :- 8.5/100 * 353.95 = 30.09 interest 353.95 + 30.09 = 384.04 total to pay 384.04 / 12 = 32 per month is this right? i know its only 35 per month, obviously im looking for the cheapest deal possible! but i just wondered why it was a different amount? help??? ta x

I just found out my registration expired back in Oct of 2008. I don't pay insurance because it is a scam, they don't help you when you need it, and they hike your rates when you claim something even though that is what you pay them for in the 1st place. I got USAA when I was in the military and it seems every year my car insurance rates go up by about $10. I have had the same car the whole time, no accidents and barely ever drive it. Is it normal for car insurance to keep going up like that even though me and my car are getting older?

My dad and I are trading in another car, with the value of 3000, and as a result, we were looking at getting a car worth around 6000 (or less). He has had no claims for years, however, I have only recently passed my test. Has anyone been in this situation or a similar one? If so, what cars would you recommend purchasing. I received a letter that asking me to send proof of insurance on my vehicle. I lost a good job in September and the job that I have currently, barely pays me enough to pay rent on my apartment let alone insurance for my vehicle. I just got a new job and will be able to put insurance on my car in a few weeks. I did some searching and I know my license will get suspended! My question is for the state of Ohio, when you haven't been in an accident and this is only your first offense...how long will they suspend license? the website doesn't say. Our March Cobra payment was sent in too late so the coverage was cancelled. I applied on-line for coverage with Blue Shield of California and was denied due to preexisting conditions. Now I have no coverage. I understand I may have a 6 mo. to 1 yr. period where the insurance wont cover any preexisting conditions once Im on a plan, but how do I find a plan that will accept me?
